What would they say about your life?

This is probably a heavy topic for a Saturday morning but I felt the need to talk about it. Some of you may be aware that back in Roman times, crucifixion was very common. Crucifixion was used to put criminals to death. If you ask me it's pretty extreme, but that's what they did. Above each criminal's head before crucifixion, they would put a sign above their head saying what crime they committed. That would be the last thing before they died that people would remember them as. I don't know about you, but I would not want the last thing people remembered me as was "Had severe road rage" or "cussed out the cashier". I would want to be remembered as the person who treated people with kindness and compassion. The person who loved others the way God loves all of us. It's impossible to be perfect, and being perfect isn't the mission. The mission is to live a life that changes other people's lives. Life is more than that job, or that car or that degree. Sure all of those things are great, but that's not what it's about. When we all face the inevitable end of our lives we will not be remembered by any of the material things. We will be remembered for how we treated and loved those around us. This is just a quick reminder to 1) Think of yourself .... less and think of others more 2) Remember what life is truly all about, which is loving everybody the best that you can. It's never too late to be the best version of yourself. Let the sign above your head always read "Loved everybody always"-Bob Goff
